Yamada builds the NDP-80BPN as a 3" double-diaphragm pump in polypropylene, capable of 215 GPM. It passes solids to 13/32" (10 mm) and handles fluid to 180°F (82°C).
A glass-filled polypropylene wetted path handles dilute acids, alkalis and brines without the galvanic issues a metal body brings, making it the usual pick for chemical transfer and wastewater duty. Buna-N diaphragms and balls suit petroleum oils, diesel, hydraulic fluid and greases, but should be kept away from ketones and strong oxidizers. Ball check valves are the right choice for flooded-suction installations.
The pump self-primes, handles a degree of entrained air, and holds pressure when stalled, which makes it forgiving on transfer duty that starts and stops.
