This NDP-5FAT is a 1/4" NDP-5 air-operated diaphragm pump in aluminum, rated to 3.4 GPM. It handles fluid to 212°F (100°C).
An aluminum wetted path is the workhorse choice for petroleum products, inks, adhesives and machine coolant, giving metal durability without the cost of 316. PTFE diaphragms and balls give near-universal chemical resistance, covering solvents, concentrated acids and oxidizers that destroy rubber elastomers, at the cost of a slightly lower displacement per stroke. Flat check valves are the right choice where the pump has to lift liquid rather than being fed by gravity.
Being air-driven, it needs no motor starter or electrical classification at the pump, self-primes from dry, and can be dead-headed and left stalled under pressure.
