This NDP-40BFW is a 1-1/2" NDP-40 air-operated diaphragm pump in cast iron, rated to 107 GPM. It passes solids to 9/32" (7 mm) and handles fluid to 212°F (100°C).
Cast iron construction gives the weight and stiffness that heavy transfer work wants, and stands up to abrasive and particulate-laden fluids that wear lighter housings. Yamada's Ultimate two-piece diaphragm pairs a PTFE wetted face with an elastomer backer, giving PTFE chemical resistance with markedly longer flex life than solid PTFE. Ball check valves are the right choice for flooded-suction installations.
The pump self-primes, handles a degree of entrained air, and holds pressure when stalled, which makes it forgiving on transfer duty that starts and stops.
