The Yamada NDP-40BAV is a 1-1/2" air-operated double-diaphragm pump in aluminum, rated to 107 GPM. It passes solids to 9/32" (7 mm) and handles fluid to 248°F (120°C).
The aluminum body suits solvents, fuels, oils and paints — the general-industrial fluids where a metal pump is wanted but stainless is more than the job needs. Viton diaphragms and balls are chosen for aggressive chemicals and hot fluids — aromatic solvents, chlorinated hydrocarbons and concentrated acids. Ball check valves are the right choice for flooded-suction installations.
The pump self-primes, handles a degree of entrained air, and holds pressure when stalled, which makes it forgiving on transfer duty that starts and stops.
