Yamada builds the DP-15BPS as a 1/2" double-diaphragm pump in polypropylene, capable of 7.4 GPM. It passes solids to 1/32" (1 mm) and handles fluid to 180°F (82°C).
Polypropylene construction gives broad resistance to inorganic acids and caustics at a lower cost than fluoropolymer, and it stays inert in the salt and chlorine service that corrodes metal pumps. Santoprene diaphragms and balls offer broad chemical compatibility with a long flex life, and are usually the best value where the duty cycle is heavy. Ball check valves are the right choice for flooded-suction installations.
Being air-driven, it needs no motor starter or electrical classification at the pump, self-primes from dry, and can be dead-headed and left stalled under pressure.
