The AD-40FN is a Yamada pulsation dampener with a 1-1/2" connection.
Fitted close to the discharge, a dampener absorbs the stroke-to-stroke pressure swing — steadying flow readings, easing stress on hoses and joints, and quietening the system.
Size the dampener to the pump and mount it as close to the discharge port as the pipework allows; effectiveness drops off with distance.
